Since I have this car I always had the "problem" to see the RNS-510 in the OPS screen and in the rearview camera the silhouette of a VW Jetta:
I do not know if this thing is known, but in the RNS-510 starting from FW 3xxx forward the long coding has increased from 9 to 10 bytes.
Normally, the 09-byte (added to) is set to 00 (default) and with my VCDS had no documentation of its use.
Searching the internet I found out that this byte encoding precisely what silhouette of car represented in the screens of the OPS and the rear view camera.
Encoding at 00 (default) means that the RNS-510 reads the model of the car from the CANBUS, so normally you do not have problems.
In my case, I do not know for what reasons, in the Gateway is set at the factory as a Golf Jetta … mystery …
To bypass the problem, just set the byte-09 with the code corresponding to your model.

Coding
The coding is module-37-> byte09 = xx [Do It!] where xx is the car's code above the list (in the latest versions of VCSD should see a drop-down menu, but may not be complete).
To enable this coding simply exec a soft-reset.
This coding may be helpful to those who install a RNS-510 used in which it appears a different shape from their car.
